James has a strong, passionate background in the food industry and believes improving our relationship with fresh nutritional food is the answer to many of today’s difficulties. He believes in the importance of educating people in the farm to fork process & how in this day & age, it’s important to help the environment.

James is most definitely our creator of chaos here at Barnhill, but when he’s behaving and not causing havoc, he works extremely hard in the strategic running of the farm. There’s never a dull moment when he’s around!

Wendy is our resident expert in all matters accounting and organisational. From managing our farmers markets to managing our finances, she’s responsible for helping James deliver his vision of the future of the farm. She’s certainly kept busy running around catching the chaos that James creates!

CATERING MANAGER AND FOOD FANATIC

Ewelina is our self-taught food fanatic, and the face behind all the mouthwatering food you taste here at the farm. She works tirelessly to create delicious home-cooked meals (and cakes), using our fresher than fresh produce from the shop. When she’s not here cooking for our wonderful customers, she’s at home thinking about what she can cook next! The girl never stops!

PROJECT LEADER FOR EBI UNITES & MOTHER HEN TO US ALL

Jacqui works hand in hand with us here at Barnhill Farm, running a community pantry and family resilience centre, targeting families in crisis in Renfrewshire. It’s not only people she feeds…. if there’s any food not fit for human consumption, it is utilized as animal feed here at Barnhill. This plays a big part in tackling the surplus food mountain. When Jacqui’s not fighting poverty, she’s here at the farm looking after our welfare as well as the animals!

It’s our absolute pleasure to finally introduce you to the newest member of our Barnhill family, our award winning chef, Zoltan Szabo.

He brings with him a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry and a deep passion for fresh seasonal produce and all things homemade. Growing up on a farm himself leaves us in no doubt that Barnhill makes him feel right at home. Together with Ewelina, he will be the mastermind behind your ultimate dining experience here at Barnhill Farm!
